KNOXVILLE, TENN — The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine (UTCVM) is the first college to receive funds from the Global Initiatives in Veterinary Education (GIVE) program, designed to help develop partnerships with foreign veterinary schools.

Organized by the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges, the GIVE program and the American Veterinary Medical Association partnered to award $27,000 to the UTCVM International Multi-Task Cooperative and Exchange Program with the College of Veterinary Medicine at the China Agricultural University (CAU) in Beijing.

The program provides CAU faculty and staff with an animal nutrition and diet promotion program and laboratory training, while UTCVM learns techniques for acupuncture, alternative medicine and animal care.
