AVMA revises biotechnology policy

Schaumburg, Ill. -- The American Veterinary Medical Association’s (AVMA) Executive Board revised its policy on “Use of Biotechnology in Development of Drugs and Vaccines” in April.
The revisions officially recognize the importance of biotechnology in drug and vaccine development, revealing how biotechnology use can help enhance surveillance and evaluate new developments with a science-based approach.
