Auburn and Quantum will form a new independently funded and joint-owned company, but Quantum will provide corporate and administrative management.

The partnership will rely on Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine's knowledge of companion animal cancer therapy and Quantum's oncofetal antigen-based therapy.

The new company is expected to begin operations in mid-2010.
