Next > Veterinarians Jason Hiser, DVM, and Neal Peckens, DVM, DACVIM (cardiology), were reported missing Oct. 13 when the friends did not return home on their scheduled flight from a hiking trip in Glacier National Park in Montana. To the joy of their friends, family, co-workers and clients, Hiser and Peckens were found by searchers the afternoon of Oct. 22 in good condition nearly a week after they set out on the hike.

The campground at Two Medicine is in the area near where Hiser and Peckens were hiking in Glacier National Park in Montana. Conditions in the park were challenging as rescue crews battled 18 inches of snow on trails, snow drifts, limited visibility and very windy conditions. |
