UC-Davis announces record year for research funding
More than $71 million of that money went to the School of Veterinary Medicine. Another roughly $44 million was distributed by UC-Davis' Office of Research among such animal-related institutions as the Bodega Marine Laboratory and the California National Primate Research Center. "Despite the difficult budget situation, UC-Davis is on a steep upward curve," Katehi says. The school has doubled its research income in less than a decade, she says.
