Dr. Devey joined the Western Nevada Veterinary Specialists last year where she is currently completing her surgical residency under the direction of Dr. Crowe. Dr. Devey completed her residency in emergency and critical care medicine in 1996 at the Veterinary Institute of Trauma, Emergency and Critical Care in Milwaukee, Wis. She has authored numerous scientific articles.

Ray Dillon DVM, MS, MBA, Dipl. ACVIM

Dr. Dillon, professor of small animal surgery and medicine, received his DVM from Texas A&M University in 1973 Magma Cum Laude. He was an intern and clinical resident at Auburn University earning his MS in Internal Medicine in 1977 and MBA in 2001. He was board certified in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) in 1978. Dr. Dillon was the first recipient and continues to hold the Jack O Rash Chair in Internal Medicine at Auburn University. He has been chair of the Section of Medicine for 20 years and was interim director of the Scott-Ritchey Research Center. Dr. Dillon has been active in cardiopulmonary research, with emphasis on inflammatory lung diseases and congestive heart failure of dogs and cats. His accomplishments as a clinical scientist have been recognized though numerous awards.. He is active in teaching internal medicine to the veterinary professional students and graduate students, and receives referral cases at the Auburn University Teaching Hospital. M

Dr Dryden is a professor of veterinary parasitology at Kansas State University. He received his veterinary degree from Kansas State and his master’s degree and Ph.D. in veterinary parasitology from Purdue University. Dr. Dryden heads a research team that has been involved in three areas: biology and control of fleas infesting dogs and cats; investigations into the interactions and disease transmission of urban wildlife with domestic pets and humans; and epidemiology and control of parasites of racing greyhounds. He has authored or coauthored more than 50 scientific paper presentations and more than 150 lectures and seminars at international, national, state and regional meetings. In 1995, Dr. Dryden received the Pfizer Award for Research Excellence for his contributions to significantly advance the knowledge of animal health.
