Prior to starting his own company, he served for eight years as the veterinary nutrition expert at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Center for Veterinary Medicine, where his responsibilities included scientific oversight of all pet food nutrition and labeling issues. While with FDA he served on the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) Pet Food Committee and was Chairman of the AAFCO Canine and Feline Nutrition Expert Subcommittees that established nutritional adequacy criteria for all pet foods marketed in the United States. Dr. Dzanis earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University in 1982. See articles |
