Miami— He wants to throw them all out of government. In fact, veterinarian and Democrat Les Gerson is running for the Florida Senate with an agenda of infusing common sense back into government.

This veterinarian says he has the skill to facilitate change, and he knows how to balance a check book, he says.

Gerson is campaigning against Republican attorney Anitere Flores for the seat in state government. She currently serves the Florida House District 114 and was named Deputy Majority Leader of the Florida House.

Gerson has worked as a veterinarian with the Miami Zoo, the Miami Seaquarium, Monkey Jungle and the Everglades National Park. In his election bid, he has picked up the endorsement of the AFL-CIO.
