HONOLULU — Hawaii veterinarians are facing new continuing education requirements if Senate Bill 2522 passes.

The bill, introduced Jan. 20, would require 20 hours of continuing-education beginning in 2014 in order for a veterinarian to qualify for biennial veterinary license renewal. The bill has been recommended for passage by several Senate committees.
