Infectious, zoonotic disease programs catch $117 million in biomedical research funding

Washington -- The National Center for Research Resources (NCRR), a division of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), recently awarded $117 million in grants to several veterinary programs for biomedical research.

Included in the awards were Louisiana State University for experimental infectious disease research and Montana State University for zoonotic and infectious emerging disease research. A full list of the 11 Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence to receive funding can be found here.
