MAF earns four-star charity rating

NATIONAL REPORT — Morris Animal Foundation and other leading veterinary charities earned a top rating, according to a non-profit charity-rating organization. Only 4 percent of the 239 animal charities in the United States earned a four-star rating from the group Charity Navigator. Top ratings also went to the American Veterinary Medical Foundation, the Animal Welfare Institute, the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation and PetSmart Charities. Other top performers included a number of locally-based humane societies, according to Charity Navigator.
