Miller's knot case study: step 1

The procedure was used in the emergency lung lobectomy of a 6-year-old, mixed-breed dog that had a suppurative pleuritis and lung abscess. It had part of a wooden stick lodged in the cranial lung lobe area. In this photo, you can see the wooden stick material extending from the parasternotomy.
