Denver -- The Morris Animal Foundation (MAF) has announced a plan for 2009 that includes funding about 200 animal studies.

Forty-six of the nearly 200 studies the foundation will help fund next year could benefit dogs.

The studies will take place at leading veterinary colleges, zoological institutions and scientific research centers, plus there will be 43 short-term health studies conducted by veterinary student scholars.
