OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. — State lawmakers are considering an income tax credit for a horse-slaughter facility.
House Bill 2758, introduced Jan. 23, would offer an income tax credit for 50 percent of the cost of construction, refurbishment or conversion of a qualified horse-slaughter facility. If passed, the tax credit could be carried over for a period of five years. The bill is now being considered by the Oklahoma House Appropriations and Budget Committee.
