Columbus, Ohio -- Three new continuing-education courses in equine veterinary medicine are available on The Ohio State University's online CE Web site.

Walter Threlfall, DVM, MS, PhD, Dipl. ACT, professor in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, is presenter for the courses. The three new ones are: • Equine uterine therapy, covering the advantages and disadvantages of various mare uterine treatments, and the methods of when and how to infuse the uterus.

• Stallion breeding soundness examination, covering identification of the animal, its history and physical examination and the components of stallion examination.

• Mare breeding soundness examination, covering all components of the exam, beginning with the purpose and indications.

Courses last about an hour to 90 minutes, and cost from $40 to $60 each.
