Philadelphia -- The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and the Aresty Institute of Executive Education at the Wharton School of Business are teaming up to offer what is being called the Executive Veterinary Leadership Program.

The program will focus on preparing veterinary "thought leaders" to become business and public-health leaders by emphasizing the global leadership roles veterinarians hold in the field of public health.

The inaugural program will run June 7-12. The $8,000 tuition for the five-day program includes room and board, and Penn's spokeswoman, Gail Luciani, says probably about 40 veterinarians will be admitted into the program.
