Amarillo, Texas -- Merrick Pet Care is expanding a recall from earlier this month to include another 80 cases of its Texas Hold'ems dog treats.

Potential Salmonella contamination forced Merrick to recall 83 more cases of its Beef Filet Squares for Dogs (Texas Hold'ems, item no. 60016, lot no. 10127) with a best-by date of May 6, 2012. The recall originally covered 86 cases of item no. 60016, lot no. 10084TL7 with a best-by date of March 24, 2012.

The treats are sold in 10-ounce plastic bags. No illnesses have been reported, the company says.

The company is offering a full refund on its recalled products. For more information, call (800) 664-7387.
