Two DVMs elected to Equine Hall of Fame

Brookfield, Wis. - The International Equine Veterinarians Hall of Fame has inducted James Rooney, DVM, Queenstown, Md., and Richard Mansmann, DVM, Apex, N.C.

Rooney, a diplomate emeritus of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists, has conducted research for more than 25 years at the Gluck Equine Research Center at the University of Kentucky.

Mansmann, who has conducted many seminars for the North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, is co-author of the book, "Equine Lameness," which investigates therapy, the disease and treatment.

The Hall of Fame is sponsored by the American Farriers Journal.
