Washington -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has changed the rules on bovine tuberculosis testing.

A federal order, issued April 15, will make it easier to move cattle over state lines in modified tuberculosis zones. The changes are an interim step in efforts to completely modify existing bovine tuberculosis rules, according to USDA. The new rule was developed through joint efforts by USDA and state veterinarians.
